Soon crowds from Eagle Rock Park ventured over and the two spots were seen as one. In time the use of the lake for boating and skating declined as trolley service was replaced with the automobile. During the 1920s to 1940s the Crystal Lake Amusement Park was in the area. From 1954 until the 1970s Mountain Crest Swim Club operated here. In the 1990s townhouses were built.
